“How dare they question our beliefs and our Jewishness?” .... an observant Jewish father whose daughter was also denied a place at the school because ..., told reporters recently. “I find it offensive and very upsetting.”
I've just read a very interesting article about Jewish identity.
Very interesting. In recent years my interest in faith schools has risen with the number of Islamic scools in Britain. Often in the evolution of a faith moments transpire when internal prejudices are challenged, it is at these moments that the faith group must use wisdom and strong scholarship to reflect, acknowlege and make a firm statement that reflects the truth and beauty of their religious identity, making sure not to dilute the essence of their religion or disrespect the sanctity of their relaitionship with God. Discrimination is unjust, and Justice is the closest to Godliness, thus injustice is the farthest from Godliness.
