Whether you have made a video for your ISoc every year or want to join the competition for the first time, these tips can help you shoot, edit and upload a winning video.

1. Video Creation

  • If you are using a copyrighted song that you want to get permission to use, find out who owns copyright with the help of The Mechanical-Copyright Protection Society at www.mcps.co.uk

2. Video Editing

There are plenty of free tools available for video editing, and with just a little bit of information, you can put together a professional movie with the computer you have on hand. Campusalam has a complete resource on editing videos with software already on your computer.

3. Video Uploading

In order to enter the FOSIS Video Competition this year, you need to upload your video to YouTube. This step-by-step guide will take you through the process of uploading your funny video.

Don't forget to register your video after uploading it!To participate, all videos must be uploaded onto YouTube by no later than 23.59 on 1 December 2011, with the link sent to head.membersrelations@fosis.org.uk and js@lokahi.org.uk.
