Some tips:

- Often it's easiest if you choose people who are willing, share your aims and principles, and reasonably competent. Don’t just look for people who are all alike. You need different skills and different views.

- Maybe you could find out what people are good at and enjoy doing – and give them those things to do. This is the best way to prevent procrastination or people not doing their bit.

- Things work much better if communication is clear and frequent. Make sure people are clear from the start what the aims are, the essential principles to be followed, and above all who does what. Also make sure that people know the deadline for each thing they do, and the desired standard or any other requirements.

- Make sure that any problems arising or any changes to the plan are communicated to everyone as soon as possible. If you are using some organisation tools, to-do lists or checklists, whether paper-based, electronic, spreadsheets or whatever, make sure everyone has a copy and it is kept updated and shared.

- Have some way to ensure information is shared regularly: like a regular meeting or an email list.

- Make sure anyone dealing with money is someone you trust completely. But even if you do; to protect them from false suspicion, make sure a different person is assigned to a checking or signing off role. Make sure anyone handling cash and taking it away, especially at night, is not travelling alone and is not put at risk of mugging or assault.

- Thank everyone regularly!
