Factors to consider:

- Is it convenient for your target audience? Can they get there easily by public transport? Can people park? Is there disabled access?
- Is it affordable for your budget, or will someone donate or let you use the space free or reduced rate?
- Is it the right size? Too small a space limits the numbers who can attend, but too big can feel empty and a little depressing even if you have a good enough number of people present.
- Are there any objections people might make to the space for religious or social or other reasons?
- Is it available within your timeframe? Some places book up quickly.
- Will it make adequate provision for your needs – not just for the main event but for prayer rooms, washing facilities, or break-away discussion groups?
- Do they offer catering? Will they let you do your own catering? What kitchen or other facilities do they have? Are the catering facilities appropriate for people’s religious or other dietary requirements?
- Do they have a strict cancellation policy? Will you lose money if you have to cancel?
