From a small reading to a Student Jury.
This is where you can find out what's on.
The workshop will provide you with an overview of Flash PoD talks. An innovative way to set your agenda becoming a voice to be heard, understood and respected, because you learn to listen to understand and speak to share.
It is essentially a discussion among students (friends and foes), but they speak to each other, not over one another. It is facilitated and also captured by video and/or blog.
You will be introduced to two communication methods, active listening and reflective reframing and have the chance to practice it.
The workshop will then continue onto a discussion on a social, political or religious topic which will be chosen on the day by the group.
Previous flash pod talks have included:
"What's the problem with Muslim institutions?"
"Is there more than a unit between us?",
"Interfaith Marriages"
"Sarkozy's comments on the burkha"
The previous discussions have been a lot of fun and we expect this one to be the same inshallah.
We will also be joined by Gazelle Media who will be discreetly taking a few shots, though we won't use footage of you if you don't want us to.
This will be at a student's campus and it is something that is done out in the open, so if you are a student and you wouldn't mind us holding this at your campus get in touch. :-)
If you want more information, do get in touch.
FlashPODs can be between 3 and 6 people, but the training can be up to 20. And yes, it's free. You will have to spend your brain power in the deep discussion!
we had lots of fun :-)
How many people to a group? Sounds fab! Is it free?
