Getting the Word Out
Be a vlogger for change! A chance for YOU to become a video blogger about your community work this summer.
We know that youth all over the UK are making a difference in their communities inspired by their faith. It’s time for the rest of the world to find out.
Getting the Word Out is a project run by Campusalam.org to amplify the voices of youth interfaith activists by giving them tools and training to shoot and share community work with their social networks and beyond through new media.
Participants will get:
- a handheld HD video camera (yours to keep afterwards)
- online training (module and online meetings) in shooting, editing and uploading compelling video of community projects that their friends and peers will want to watch.
Participants (16-25 years old) will need:
- Computer with 20GB of free space to store videos and high speed internet access
- One community project they will be working on in the months of August and September.
- 10-15 hours of availability in the months of August and September
The first group of 8 vloggers are now hard at work. Feel free to use the training materials at Campusalam to get the word out for your own projects.
