In this assignment, you will make a simple video and upload it to OUR SHARED YOUUBE ACCOUNT (gettingthewordoutuk) for viewing. This video will NOT be public, only our group will be able to view it.

1. Film yourself answering these questions:

• My community project is…
• I am involved in it because….

(Since most of your projects have to do with faith and values in some way, you could also answer this question):

• My faith and values inspire me to be involved in my community by…

Your total video should be no longer than 1 minute!

Tips:
For filming yourself, you can either:

• Hold the camera and point it towards you
• Lean it on a computer and point it toward you
• Get a friend or family member to film you.

It might help you to write down some of your ideas before speaking. You can even make a script and place it next to your camera. Remember that sometimes your best answers will not be planned. Just start talking and you’ll be surprised what comes out.

2. Clip the Video (optional). 

If you want to clip out the beginning and end of the video you made, follow the simple steps here.

3. Upload the video to YouTube.

Follow these instructions on uploading Creative Vado videos to YouTube.
 

IMPORTANT NOTES on Uploading:

• In Step 4, use the YouTube account details for our shared Getting the Word Out account, gettingthewordoutuk. We have sent you account details for our YouTube page by email. Let us know if you have not received them.
• In Step 5, make sure you select PRIVATE for the video so that it can only be viewed by our group.
• After uploading you can see the video ONLY by logging into the Getting the Word Out account on YouTube and selecting My Videos. You should have received the account details in an email. Let us know if you have not yet received them.
